by stereogirlI am more than a little obsessed with The CW’s Hart of Dixie. Rachel Bilson? Please! She’s adorable. Wilson Bethel should be shirtless twenty-four hours a day. Jaime King? That girl can act her butt off and is that stunning? Scott Porter? So handsome. So charismatic. Cress Williams? So gorgeous and oh so very charming. There is nothing about this show I’m not absolutely in love with … except the whole Wade and Zoe not hooking up thing. I nearly threw my coffee mug through my television when Wade chickened out when he had the chance to tell Zoe how he felt. So is he going to come to his senses or will someone else get to her first? Judging by the above cast photo, I’d say Wade’s chances are pretty good. Not so suggests another promo photo released for upcoming February sweeps. Read on for more.
Soul mates aren’t always attached? See now, there is a part of me that likes the way that sounds and part of me that doesn’t. See, Zoe (Bilson) and Wade (Bethel) are supposed to be together. Sure he’s a little rough around the edges but he really likes her and even bought a new shirt to impress her. Come on! That’s romance right there. Or maybe that’s reaching. Regardless, I hate the whole “team” thing but yeah, this girl’s Team Wade all the way. For that reason, the idea that Zoe and George (Porter) are soul mates? Uh uh. Don’t like that one tiny bit. The “aren’t attached” gives me hope though; especially considering the promo poster of Wade and Zoe. You haven’t seen it? I gotcha!
There’s a thin line between hate and hot-for. Okay, it doesn’t exactly say love but who cares? I take good news where I can get it. Seriously though – look how cute they are together. Rachel and Wade all the way. If what I’m hearing about next week’s episode is true though, I have serious doubts as whether Zade will happen. According to E! Online’s Watch with Kristen (which I love, by the way), things are really going to start getting complicated next week when Zoe finds out that Levon (Williams) and Lemon (King) have more than a friendly past. Zoe then spends much of the episode struggling to decide whether or not she should tell George or keep it under her hat. My hope? Zoe keeps it to herself. Lemon should be the one to break that news to George or, failing that, Levon. It’s kind of here that my feelings get complicated.
I adore Jaime King and her performance on Hart of Dixie is always incredible. Lemon is a complicated character showing more and more depth each week and Jaime always plays her role perfectly. I also love Scott Porter and George is one of the sweetest, most level headed characters on the show. Do I want to see George happy? Of course! Will he be happy with Lemon? Nope. She’s clearly meant to be with Levon – someone she has fun with and can be herself with. Would George by happy with Zoe? Nope. She is too attracted to Wade. That kind of chemistry just doesn’t go away. The solution? I have no idea but I do know I want to see Lemon and Levon together, Zoe and Wade together and George with someone who will actually love him with her whole heart. Maybe a new character? Hey – if Lemon and Levon get together, Dee Dee would be single.
