by stereogirlIt has been a long, long time folks but we’re back now and we’re off to a darn good start with this week’s Man Candy, Hart of Dixie star Cress Williams. Cress is the second Hart of Dixie cast member to take a Man Candy win and I can’t even lie. That makes me giddy in many, many ways. If you want to check out Cress’ complete Man Candy profile,c lick here to head over to World of Female. You can also check out his Hart of Dixie co-star Wilson Bethel’s Man Candy profile by clicking here. For now though, let’s talk about the last vote and your nominees for this week.
So Cress Williams took this win in a big way, easily taking the top spot with 92.92% of the vote. Everyone else trailed way behind with Tom Payne landing in second place with 2.65%. Timothy Olyphant was hot on Tom’s heels, scoring 2.36% of the vote for himself and taking the third place position. Michael Pill slid into fourth place with 1.18% while Gabriel Mann was in last place among our vote getters with 0.88%. Jackson Rathbone and Geoff Stults came up with a big zilch in the vote department and, for the first time in weeks, there were no write-in nominations so I added a few nominees to round out the poll. Let’s get to it.
Candy Candidate Number One: Tom Payne (Returning Candidate)
Tom makes my heart skip a beat. Those eyes of his. That hair. Those lips. The man is beautiful. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also incredibly talented. I fell in love with Tom over the course of his stint on HBO’s ill-fated horse racing drama Luck, but I’m sure this love affair will continue even though the show is over.
Candy Candidate Number Two: Timothy Olyphant (Returning Candidate)
Timothy Olyphant is freaking gorgeous. There’s really no arguing that. I have been in lust with the man for years and years. I’m a little perplexed though. Timothy is on this list time and time again. When he fails to come up with enough votes to stay on the poll, someone just nominates him again. How has this man – the walking, talking epitome of what Man Candy is all about – not yet won? Perhaps this is his week.
Candy Candidate Number Three: Michael Pitt (Returning Candidate)
Michael Pitt. I don’t know I can say about Michael that I haven’t already said a million times. I love this guy. He’s absolutely beautiful but more importantly – t0 me anyway – he isn’t beautiful in the typical beefcake kind of way. He’s unique. He is his own man. Hollywood stuff just doesn’t apply to him and I find that unreasonably sexy.
Candy Candidate Number Four: James Van Der Beek (My Nominee)
I’m not going to lie. I watched Dawson’s Creek once or twice back in the day and loved The Rules of Attraction but aside from that, I’ve never paid much attention to James Van Der Beek. Then something crazy happened. I watched Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23 and I fell in love. I love nothing more than a person who isn’t afraid to make fun of themselves. James, you have a new fan for life. Welcome to Man Candy Monday.
Candy Candidate Number Five: Keegan Allen (My Nominee)
I just started watching Pretty Little Liars about two weeks ago. I’ve been trying to quit smoking and needed something to distract myself from how badly I wanted to kill everything that moves. PLL was the perfect distraction. I watched the first two seasons in roughly three days. While there are lots of boys to love on this show, Keegan stands out for me. The moment I saw him (when he was still supposed to be the creepy dude across the street), I knew he had to be one of my nominees for this week’s poll. Gorgeous. Those eyes? Please!
Candy Candidate Number Six: Wes Bentley (My Nominee)
Okay. I’m an honest kinda girl so I’ll level with you all. I really don’t get the appeal of The Hunger Games. The books were good but I wasn’t at all crazy about the movie. You know what I did like about it? The cast – especially gorgeous Wes Bentley (and Woody Harrelson, of course. I effing love that guy). Wes has been one of my absolute favorite actors since I was a teenager and I just love him more with every movie I see him in. I’m thrilled he has a role in such a major series. I hope he does well in the poll. I’d love to do a Man Candy profile on him.
Okay, now you know who your candidates are. It’s time to vote. Like always, voting is 100% free and you can vote as many times as you like. If you’re not thrilled with the nominees, you can nominate someone you’d prefer to see win by using the “other” option. I only ask that you please check the Man Candy Monday Archive before you nominate someone. You can view The Archive by clicking here. Okay – time to vote!
