Man Candy Champ, Misha Collins

Last week sucked. Saturday night I closed the Man Candy poll as I normally would. Misha Collins had a 90% lead and that was awesome. I declared Misha the winner and Sunday, I began preparing his profile to have it ready for Monday. Then something happened. A lot of people got very angry and sent me some nasty messages. It seems they felt they should’ve been given more time to vote for their favorites and demanded I reopen the poll. I bowed to pressure. At the time, it seemed the only fair thing to do considering the accusations I’d cheated to give Misha the win. Kind of ridiculous when you really think about it as Joshua Bowman of Revenge was the nominee I put on the poll. Were I cheating, it would make sense that I cheat in favor of Joshua but that’s really neither here not there. I made the decision I made and I stand by it. Why? Because in the end, Misha’s fans knocked the snot out of this poll and led Misha to a very impressive win with 89.22% of the final vote. Even so, controversy remained.Before we get to this week’s nominees, let me take a minute to say this once more: if you want your man to win you absolutely have to vote for him. Otherwise you have no right to complain. Okay, let’s get to this week’s candidates.

Normally I’d include pictures and a quick bio for all of our Candy Candidate nominees but this week there are more write ins than usual and there are a few things I need to talk about so I’m afraid the pictures will have to be reserved for next week’s winner and whoever happens to make it to next week’s poll. Although slightly concerned I’m going to piss more people off, I’ve decided to carry over all of the remaining men from last week’s poll to this week’s poll and add the write-in nominees. The reason for that is simple. Everything after first place got stupendously messed up in last week’s poll because a lot of people were writing in nominations for men that have already won. That’s a problem because it completely messes up the totals and makes my head hurt. The following write in nominees, while entirely delicious, are not eligible for this week’s poll because they’ve won in the past:

• Ashton Kutcher
• Jake Gyllenhaal
• Jared Leto
• Jensen Ackles
• Josh Dallas (or Joshua Dallas)

Because I want to make things fair for everyone and putting a list or former honorees at the end of each Candy Candidate post is just not possible anymore, I’ve created a whole blog dedicated solely to past Man Candy Monday winners. You can find a complete list of past winners there, Facebook and Twitter links and a few other fun little things you can check out. Eventually each winner will have their own post but for now, it’s just an archive list with links to the man’s original profile. Please check the archive before nominating someone. Some of you have already noticed the Man Candy Hall of Fame link at the top right corner of the blog. If you have, you’ve also probably noticed it doesn’t really go anywhere yet. Simple reason for that. I’m still working out a few kinks with the page set up and forgot to remove the link. I hope to have it up and running by the end of the night. Just a quick work about what it is though. It’s only for the most popular Man Candy profiles. Popularity is determined by five factors: Facebook likes, Twitter shares, +1′s on Google and Overall shares. Some exceptions have been made for profiles I know get a lot of traffic. Bottom line though, want your man’s profile in the Hall of Fame? Share it! For example, Misha Collins’ profile is not ready and posted on World of Female.
